TATTOO AFTERCARE
Leave the bandage on for 6-24 hours.
After removing the bandage, the first wash is the most important, wash the tattoo well using unscented soap and warm water.
Allow the tattoo to air dry for for 24-36 hours, as the tattoo needs the time to breathe and tighten.
After air drying, take a shower, wash the tattoo, and allow it to dry for 2-3 hours. Do not ever rebandage the tattoo at any point. At this point you can apply a mild, unscented lotion such as Lubriderm or Aveno. When applying the lotion, be sure to use only a small amount no more than 1-2 times per day until the tattoo is healed.
Avoid swimming, scratching, picking, and letting stray dogs lick your tattoo until it is healed. Be sure to wear clean clothes during the healing process and change the sheets on your bed. The healing process should take between 1-1/2 to 2 weeks.
Make sure to limit your tattoo's exposure to the sun even after the healing process is complete.
